Patera D. Scott-Marsh born and raised in Miami, FL. and resides in Apopka, FL. She’s an honor graduate of Miami Carol City Senior High. She has a Bachelor in Science with honors from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Criminal Justice, Victim Advocacy and Emergency Management. Patera has a Masters in Organizational Leadership from Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Patera is employed with the City of Ocoee Police Department for the past 12 years serving the community affairs, patrol, and currently School Resource Officer. She was Officer of the year for 2013-2014 for her achievement in the community; she has received serval community awards and commendations for her outstanding work in the Ocoee and Orlando community. She is certified Women Self Defense (SAFE program) and RAD Instructor basic self-defense for women. Patera passion for Community Outreach and Crime Prevention she is also Certified Crime Prevention and CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design)
Patera is married to Richard Marsh, son Elijah “EJ”, stepson Jahmari and dog Zion. Her passions are community outreach, fitness, running, shopping and women personal safety and defense. Her passion for women safety and defense she started a company Pretty in Pink Safety and Defense for women to build self-confidence in fun and loving environment.
She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated active member of Kappa Sigma Omega Chapter (Sanford, FL).
She loves giving back to the community and has been a volunteer and mentor LANES Girls Group since 2015.
She is a member of Rejoice in the Lord ministries under the leadership of Pastor Roderick Zak.
